Available as 50/50 split or 70/30 split, the door includes as standard an aluminium floor threshold, a pair of door stays which keep the doors in the open position, as well as pair of gas piston openers designed to aid in the opening of the doors.

No, this option is not, although it closes onto a rubber gasket all around the door, it still allows airflow being a non insulated option. For an insulated option, see “insulated side hinge door” section.
It can be, providing that your floor is level and in good condition, the door comes with an aluminium floor threshold, which is sealed to a level floor on instalation.
Yes, much the same as an up and over door, the internal mechanics must be sprayed with a silicone based lubricant and the surface finish of the door must be washed down with light detergent and a non-abrasive clean sponge when dirty.
Side hinge doors should not be installed in high wind areas. They should also be avoided if your driveway slopes up or if your garage opens out onto a public thouroughfare.
