1. Introduction
- Welcome to GDS Cumbria Ltd, a trusted provider of garage door servicing and fitting solutions. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and conditions. Please read them carefully. By entering into a quoted contract you and we as a company are bound by them.
2. Services Provided
- GDS Cumbria Ltd offers garage door installation, servicing, repair, and maintenance. Our services are subject to availability and may change at our discretion.
3. Booking and Payment
- Booking: To book our services, you must provide us with accurate information about your requirements. This may include details about the type of garage door, size, style, and any issues you’re experiencing with the current door.
- Payment: All services must be paid for in full before or upon completion of the work, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Payments can be made through cash, cheque or bank transfer. Failure to pay on time may result in delays or suspension of services.
- Quotes: All quotes provided are based on the information given at the time of the booking and are subject to change if additional work is required. We will notify you of any changes and obtain your approval before proceeding.
4. Service Guarantee
- Warranty: We provide a manufactural warranty on the installation of new garage doors. This warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship but does not cover damage due to misuse, accidental damage, or natural wear and tear.
- Exclusions: Manufactural warranty does not cover parts that are subject to normal wear and tear, including but not limited to springs, rollers, batteries and cables. Additionally, damage caused by external factors, such as weather, accidents, or unauthorized tampering, is not covered.
5. Customer Responsibilities
- Access: You are responsible for ensuring that our technicians have clear and safe access to the garage and that any obstructions or hazards are removed prior to our arrival.
- Accurate Information: You must provide accurate information regarding the work required and ensure that the area where the garage door will be installed or serviced is safe and suitable for the task.
- Damage to Property: We are not responsible for damage to property that is not directly related to the garage door work. This includes damage to floors, walls, or other items that may be affected during installation or repairs.
6. Cancellations and Rescheduling
- Cancellations: You may cancel or reschedule your appointment up to 24 hours before the scheduled service without incurring a cancellation fee. Cancellations made less than 12 hours to the appointment may be subject to a cancellation fee.
- Rescheduling: If you need to reschedule your service, please inform us as soon as possible. We will make every effort to accommodate your new preferred time, subject to availability.
7. Liability
- Limitation of Liability: Our liability is limited to the total amount paid for the specific service provided. We are not liable for any indirect or consequential damages, including loss of business, profit, or data, arising from the use of our services.
- Force Majeure: We will not be held liable for any delay or failure to perform our obligations under these Terms and Conditions if the delay is due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, or acts of war.
8. Privacy and Data Protection
- We take your privacy seriously. We collect and process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using our services, you consent to the collection and processing of your data.
